You’ve booked your hair and makeup team, finalized your headcount, and the countdown to the wedding is officially on! When you hire a mobile beauty team to come to your home, hotel, or venue anywhere from Mississauga to Hamilton, you are choosing the ultimate stress-free luxury. No racing across the GTA to a salon on your wedding morning—we bring the salon to you.
But to keep those good vibes flowing and ensure your morning timeline stays perfectly on track, a little prep goes a long way.
As a beauty team with nearly two decades of experience keeping wedding mornings calm and beautiful, we’ve learned exactly what makes a mobile setup click. Here is how to prep your space, protect your timeline, and set your bridal party up for a flawless getting-ready experience.
1. Scout the Perfect Location (Keep Out of the Bathroom!)
We love a gorgeous bathroom, but it is the absolute worst place for your beauty team to set up. It’s tight, it gets humid, and let’s be honest, it's kind of gross.
Instead, look for a dining room table, a large kitchen island, or a sturdy desk. Here is what each artist needs to work their magic:
The Blueprint: A regular-height table or counter with at least 4x3 feet of dedicated space. (Low coffee tables are a no-go—our backs will thank you!).
Power Up: Easy access to a reliable wall outlet for hot tools and airbrush machines.
Clear the Runway: We roll in with heavy, professional kits. Ensuring there is a clear, staircase-friendly path to the setup area helps us get started right away.
2. Guard the Timeline (Because Lateness Costs!)
Wedding mornings operate on a fluid but precise schedule. Some people naturally take a little less time in the chair, while others might need a few extra minutes to get their look just right. Because of this natural ebb and flow, it is incredibly important that the next person is always ready to go.
Keep the Chair Warm: Keeping your artist waiting around for the next person destroys the momentum of the morning and can quickly cause the whole timeline to snowball.
Next-Up Commitments: Remember, your artists have tight schedules to keep. They may very well have another booking, an event, or important commitments immediately after your session. If the timeline drags due to clients not being ready, the artist simply may not be able to stay late to accommodate everyone.
Distraction-Free Chair Time: We want everyone to laugh, sip some bubbly, and have fun! But once someone steps into the hot seat, it’s time to be distraction-free. Keeping your head steady and focused helps us work efficiently—after all, no one wants a crooked hairstyle because they turned to look at a text!
3. Protect the Pro Kit
Our professional kits are our livelihood, and they are curated with high-end, sanitary products to keep everyone safe and glowing.
No-Fly Zone for Drinks: You are more than welcome to enjoy a drink while getting glammed, but please keep all liquids far away from the makeup and hair stations. One accidental spill can ruin expensive products and halt the morning.
Look, Don't Touch: For hygiene and safety reasons, guests, clients and little ones must refrain from touching or borrowing items from the artist's kit. Items easily get misplaced and artists don't have time to go tracking people down to get things back.
4. Speak Up in the Moment (And Know Your Vibe!)
We want you and your bridal party to absolutely love how you look, and the absolute best time to make adjustments is right there while you're sitting in the chair.
Tweak it Live: If you want your blush a little brighter or a piece of hair adjusted, just tell us! We are entirely focused on your satisfaction and happy to make those tweaks while we have all our tools and products laid out in front of us and not while we are walking out the door with our kits.
Have a Vision Ready: To maximize your time in the chair, please have a pretty good idea of the look or style you want before you sit down. We are more than happy to discuss the look and let you know our suggestions but If it takes 15 minutes of flipping through photos just to decide on a hairstyle, that is 15 minutes cut directly from our actual styling time.
5. Seamless Logistics: Payments & Day-Of Add-ons
The last thing you want to do on your wedding morning is calculate math or chase down bridesmaids for e-transfers.
Last-Minute Add-Ons: If someone decides on the wedding day that they suddenly want clip-in extensions prepped, body makeup, or an extra blow-dry, we will do our absolute best to accommodate them if time allows. If everyone still has to be finished at the same time, this puts a lot of stress on the artist.
By sharing these quick guidelines with your bridal party ahead of time, you guarantee a seamless, laughing-filled morning from the moment we arrive to the moment you put on your dress.
